Export Quality
Its international expansion began in 1994, when it entered the Chilean market, and did not cease to continue making its way around the world, reaching the difficult European market through Germany and Spain, the competitive North American market, and of course the Central and South America, where Guatemala, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Argentina, Ecuador, Colombia, Venezuela, Uruguay and Brazil stand out.
John Gleiser comments that "among the medium-term expansion plans are to continue increasing sales to Brazil, consolidating the Central American market and entering aggressively with our Peruvian closures into the Mexican market."
"At Corporación Rey we are so convinced of the quality of our closures that for years we have thrown the same challenge to all Peruvians who use Rey seals: Lifetime Guarantee," recalls Don Samuel.
"An important component to consolidate the export of our closures is that they also represent a country brand. We always seek to consolidate them as a Peruvian export product in all those markets in which we venture, "says John Gleiser.
"Even," says Alex Gleiser, "Corporación Rey provides technical assistance to those medium and small garment manufacturers who want to export. We have the international certifications that allow us to export and we do not have any misgivings in sharing the knowledge acquired with our strategic partners. In the end, the success of a garment maker who uses Rey products is our success as well. "
Corporación Rey represents an important milestone in the country's economic history, because for 60 years it has been committed to promoting what Peru produces, but transforming raw materials into manufactured products with export quality. In this lies its great success throughout all this time.
Don Samuel tells us didactically the history of this virtuous circle of production with added value. "In the case of the Rey closures, first the Peruvians had to extract the copper from the mines, raw material that is subjected to processes of smelting and electrolysis to form the copper bars that are converted, in turn, into copper wire rod. by continuous casting, in a mixture with zinc, which we transform into technical wires of copper alloys. This wire is stamped and takes various forms of teeth that are attached to the fabric that results in the closure zipper. Also using our zinc to turn it into Zamac, with which we make keys by inmate-fusion. After an assembly process it becomes a national closure of high quality, recognized resistance and duration, sold today in Peru and the world.
50% of the total production of closures Rey is destined to supply the local market, which is actively committed to give force to campaigns like Buy Peru that the Executive rightly promotes.
